The first issue of The Walloper for a month has also turned out to be my last as the Editor, as I tendered my resignation the morning after the rearranged match was played.

Putting it together was a slog; apart from the (mandatory) contributions from the opposition and the weekly column from The Non-League Paper all of the copy was either written by myself, or collated from various sources.

The fact that I devoted three pages to the Isthmian League’s ham-fisted attempts to bring in a photographer accreditation scheme and three more to clubs being expelled from the FA Trophy due to the ‘strict liability’ placed on clubs in terms of player eligibility might have suggested that I was not in a particularly cheerful mood!

So here it is, my final Programme. After nearly 30 years in non-league football, it is time for me to let someone else deal with it all.
